I was reading Dan Kimball's, "They Like Jesus But Not the Church," and one of the things that bubbles out is the frustration that people have with Christians in general. But one thing specifically for the discussion here; they were frustrated that Christians could not explain or justify why they believe what they believe.
Granted there are some tough questions, but they do have good answers. We just need to articulate them, hence this blog. The Link (A new church plant in Beaufort, SC, www.thelinkbeaufort.com) wants to be relevant and deal with the questions people have. For seven weeks starting on Sunday, January 25th we will be dealing with the top seven questions people have. Those who want to meet will meet at the Holiday Inn Suites at 10:30 AM. Here we will discuss them and give everyone a chance to offer their thoughts and even ask further questions. You are welcome! Everyone has questions.
The Questions We Are Considering So Far:
- Why would anyone be a Christian with the way Christians behave? (January 25th)
- Christianity seems so restrictive, isn’t it all about rules? (February 1st)
- How can anyone trust the Bible? (February 8th)
- How can there be a good God and suffering at the same time? (February 15th)
- Hasn’t science disproved what Christians believe? (February 22nd)
- How can Christianity claim to be the only way to God? (March 1st)
- How could a loving God send anyone to hell? (March 8th)
Please share your questions,

WOW! What a great blog. Beaufort needs a safe place where we can share our faith and views. Thanks for starting this for the community.
A question I have is...
"What does God allow bad things to happen to good people?"
i have personally wondered about almost every single one of these questions. unfortunately i won't be in town for any of the meetings, is there a way you could post up like notes from them?
thank you,
Mark
Great Question! For those who miss a particular week or question they were interested in there will be a weekly blog they can read here, as well as, a link to a podcast and other resources they can check out to to help find some answers. But if that is unsatisfying we can always dialogue here.
Mike - the website and flyers look great. Glad you all are in town. Eric Spivey
Just heard about your new church. God bless you and the innovative ministry you guys are doing! I am a twentysomething in church in Nashville. I'm so thankful for your willingness to get "new wineskins." Anyway, thanks!
